Welcome to our community!

The Master Gardener Program in York County has the feel of a community even though we are spread out over 1,271 square miles. Over 150 active UMaine Extension York County Master Gardener Volunteers and current trainees share a love of working with the soil, making things grow and a passion for extending our knowledge and enthusiasm to others.  Master Gardener Volunteers are helping to establish a community of committed gardeners learning from UMaine Extension and from each other and then sharing that knowledge with others.

Check out a few of our current community projects. Some are coordinated by the Board of the York County Master Gardener Association (YCMGA), some are small and localized, and all are approved by the UMaine Extension Faculty in York County.  If you have any questions, please contact the UMaine Cooperative Extension Office in York County. One of our MG Board members may also be able to answer any questions you may have.
